When you sit down to your meal, eat the lower calorie items (veggies, fruits) first. This will help quench your hunger so you won’t overdo it.
This helps me since I was always raised to be a member of the Clean Plate Club, and haven’t really learned to listen to my stomach. I try to eat my veggies first, so if I do get full, I at least have eaten the most nutritious and low calorie part of the meal.
